4 – MUSHROOMS
Chlorinating agents, anhydrous calcium chloride, sodium sulfite and other dangerous preservatives are used in mushroom spraying.
5 – TILAPIA FISH
Tilapia is a common farmed fish in China. These fish are some of the worst, most toxic, and unhealthy fish you can encounter. A tilapia eats everything, comparable to a cleaner fish, and the fish farm is a small pool of water with waste in which the fish live. This is one of the worst fish purchases you could make, and it is well known that seafood producers in China won’t even let their children eat the seafood they produce, which should be a warning sign. 80% of Tilapia comes from China.
6 – SHRIMPS
To ensure the shrimp’s survival, farmers were using unauthorized antibiotics and chemicals. Thirty shrimp samples purchased in China were sent to a laboratory at the Institute for Environment and Human Health at Texas Tech University. The result: Antibiotics (enrofloxacin, chloramphenicol, and nitrofuranzone), banned in the United States and other countries for their carcinogenic effects, were used in shrimp farming.
7 – APPLE JUICE
In 2011, Dr. Mehmet Oz reported that apple juice from China contained very high levels of arsenic. Another study published by Consumer Reports magazine showed that 10% of the apple juice samples exceeded the arsenic levels required by the standards. The arsenic found in the products was not organic; instead, it was toxic and dangerous.
8 – CHINESE GARLIC
Inspectors also found contaminated garlic from China. Chinese garlic is heavily sprayed with chemicals, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste, reminiscent of a chemical concoction.
China is the world’s leading exporter of food products. The country uses innovative methods and techniques to bring these products to global markets as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Unsurprisingly, many foods are suffering as a result. Here is a list of eight Chinese foods containing hazardous substances that we should avoid.
1 – SOY SAUCE
The World Health Organization has revealed that this product is classified as carcinogenic. Soy sauce contains 4-methylimidazole (carcinogenic in mice and rats).
2 – GINGER
A survey launched in 2013 showed that the pesticide Aldicarb, approved for use only on cotton, peanuts, roses, and sweet potatoes, was also being used on ginger. Farmers were applying it three to six times above the recommended level.
3 – INDUSTRIAL SALT
Industrial salt is unfit for human consumption, but industrial salt has been sold as table salt for 13 years! Industrial salt can cause mental and physical problems, hypothyroidism, and reproductive system disorders.
4 – MUSHROOMS
Chlorinating agents, anhydrous calcium chloride, sodium sulfite and other dangerous preservatives are used in mushroom spraying.
