We had some guests over today, just chilling and chatting, when out of nowhere, BOOM! We heard this crazy loud noise coming from the kitchen, like something blew up. We rushed to the kitchen and bam! The oven glass was shattered. No one was hurt, thank goodness, but seriously? The oven wasn't even on! How does that even happen?

Microscopic flaws, such as nickel sulfide inclusions, can lead to spontaneous breakage, especially during high-heat cycles like self-cleaning.

To minimize the risk, handle oven doors with care, avoid using abrasive tools or placing heavy items on the door, and ensure dishes inside the oven don’t come into contact with the glass.

Taking simple precautions—such as using gentle cleaning tools and avoiding sudden temperature changes—can help prevent shattering, ensuring both safety and the longevity of your oven.
